Niamh and I are gearing up for Round 2 with our little camper, Scout. Gearing Up for Niamh and I includes “packing everything the day before we leave and buying a travel guide to Maine from 1997 at the thrift store.”
Follow along with us as we figure it out. We’ll be spending the next two weeks or so camping, working, and trying to keep the door on our camper this time around.
WAGONS EAST!
I made some important tweaks to the new Nas album cover.
A recent New York Times article reports that modern man mated with Neanderthals, forever leaving the imprint of Neanderthal DNA on the human genome. Read the whole article HERE or just look at this picture of Neil Young.
Look at Bob Dylan smiling on this record cover like he just ate a free ham dinner. Yes, Nashville Skyline is the comfort food of this guy’s discography. You’d be hard-pressed to find something on this album that rubs you the wrong way (I could make an argument for the unnecessary Johnny Cash duet but I won’t). Anyway, I was listening to Country Pie today and just thinking about how hard it is to imagine Bob Dylan not smiling while he is singing this song. Everyone has their own assessment system for a musician like Dylan, but for what it’s worth, I put a pretty high value on a song the man had to grin while singing.

I have a new blog, folks. It’s about feelings and powerful 70s Rock and Roll. And isn’t that what EVERYTHING is about?

This sassy/sexy eagle illustration for a NY Times article was killed. I just like it too much not to share.
My whole typographic portfolio, set to Heart’s “Crazy on You.” Pretty standard, guys.
